Although KTC has grown to become the largest independent oils and fats business in the UK, we have retained the flexibility of production and supply on which this growth was founded. Such is our commitment to the food service sector that over 50% of our total sales are used by caterers. We believe most of our success is due to KTC offering the one ingredient that the catering industry demands above all else – service. As a consequence our customer portfolio represents the whole industry, from single catering units, via independant wholesalers, to institutional business and multi-national establishments.
It’s not just our customer base that has grown: during the course of last year we introduced a number of exciting new product lines especially for the caterer. KTC products are not limited to quality oils and fats - our range of over 200 items now compromises bakery goods, coconut products and speciality foods from the East and the Caribbean.
These products require strict hygiene controls to ensure good manufacturing practices, regulated by a comprehensive HACCP system. The company’s quality management procedures are reinforced by our own laboratory which can produce full certification to accompany deliveries.
